What I've done

Currently a cloud and full-stack software developer at Cellular Tracking Technologies in New Jersey. We make boutique wildlife tracking devices... its pretty cool!
I previously worked in the energy industry as a product marketer for gas turbines and as project manager for onshore wind power plant installations and re-powering at General Electric... that was also pretty cool!
As a military officer I conducted many types of maritime operations such as disaster response, search and rescue, and law enforcement... that was probably the coolest!

Technologist

As a lifelong learner, I constantly pursue opportunities to soak up as much as I can about technology, science, economics, and the complex world around me.

Adventurer

I am a skier, boater, live on the water, and love to travel. There is so much beauty to witness and experience on this big blue planet and I try to savor it as much as I can.

Servant

I am a veteran and served as an officer in the Coast Guard for 7+ years. I am deeply passionate about public service. I also believe in the power of the private sector to do good.

Some other things I've done

I have met the President (and I invited him to a party, but he told me he was booked)
I have been to 46 of the 50 United States. They've all been pretty reamrkable.
I have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane (skydiving). Unfortunately it's more expensive when you're a bigger guy... and fortunately the parachute worked as intended!

Environment

I love spending time in nature and living near the coast. It is our responsibility to care for our global and local ecosystems, affording future generations the opportunity to witness its many wonders.

Family

I am a proud military spouse and have loved ones who have deployed overseas. Many close friends and family members have served (and continue to serve) our great nation. I support their mission and sacrifice.

Country

The United States of America is a land of innovation and opportunity. It is the engine of the world economy and a beacon of hope for many. I love this country and feel gratitude every day to have been born here.

Technology impacts humanity in new, exciting, and sometimes terrifying ways every day. This will continue at and ever-increasing frequency in the new indstrial age. Continuous adaptation of how we observe, process information, and implement learnings is the greatest challenge. I am excited for the oportunity to live in this here and now.
